New-Life Carrier Cot –– Product Design

Malaria poses a great risk to infant mortality in emerging markets, along with infection and premature birth. In order to tackle these issues, New-Life Carrier Cot combines simple, natural solutions into a baby-carrier made of anti-bacterial fabric which converts into a cot with mosquito-net protection.

To help fund and distribute the product, 'bags for new life' are available from supermarkets and charity shops in the United Kingdom. This helps publicise the campaign by making a bright and colourful statement.

This project was awarded a commendation for the 2017 RSA Student Design Awards.
